LinenFabricManufacturer&ExporterfromIndia
Janki Nath & Co. manufactures 100% linen and linen blend fabrics — exported to fashion brands and garment manufacturers across Europe, USA, Japan and Australia.
Our Linen Fabric Range
We produce pure linen and linen blend fabrics across plain weave, twill and slub constructions — available in natural, bleached, dyed and yarn-dyed finishes, in standard widths of 44/45 inch and 58/60 inch.
Cotton/linen is our most popular blend for fashion applications — the cotton component reduces linen's tendency to crease and improves drape while retaining its breathability and texture (ratios: 55/45, 60/40, 70/30, 80/20). Viscose/linen adds fluid drape and a slight lustre, popular for summer dresses and resort wear. Linen contains natural pectin that stiffens the fibre when new — every wash cycle breaks it down gradually, which is why linen softens and improves with age rather than degrading like synthetic alternatives.

Linen Fabric Weights (GSM)
Linen fabric is usually described by weight in grams per square metre. As a general guide, lightweight linen (roughly 100 to 150 GSM) suits shirts, blouses and dresses, mid-weight linen (roughly 150 to 250 GSM) suits trousers, jackets and home textiles, and heavier linen above that suits furnishing and upholstery use. Tell us your end use and target weight and we will develop to it.
Pure Linen or Cotton/Linen Blend?
Pure linen gives the crisp hand, natural texture and breathability linen is known for, and it creases more. A cotton/linen blend softens the hand, improves drape and reduces creasing while keeping much of the linen look, which is why it is popular for fashion. Blend ratios such as 55/45, 60/40, 70/30 and 80/20 are developed to the buyer brief.
FAQ: Is Linen Fabric for Summer or Winter?
Linen is mainly a warm-weather fabric: it is breathable and feels cool against the skin, so lightweight linen suits spring and summer collections. Heavier linen and linen blends are also used for autumn collections, layered or in structured pieces.
Applications
Fashion apparel, summer collections, resort wear, trousers, shirts, dresses, home furnishing, curtains and drapery.
