Janki Nath & Co. manufactures yarn dyed fabrics — checks, stripes, plaids and multi-colour woven designs — from our yarn-dyed specialist units across India.
What is Yarn Dyed Fabric
In yarn dyed fabric, individual yarns are dyed before weaving. This creates colours and patterns that are woven directly into the fabric structure — not printed or applied after weaving. Result: deeper colour penetration, better colourfastness and consistent colour reproduction across reorders.
This is the key difference from piece-dyed fabric, which is woven first from undyed yarn and dyed as finished cloth afterwards. Only yarn dyeing enables multi-colour woven patterns — checks, stripes and plaids — where different coloured yarns interlace in the weave structure; piece dyeing can only produce solid colours.
Which Season Is Yarn-Dyed Fabric Best For?
Yarn-dyed checks, plaids and stripes in heavier cotton and linen constructions are well suited for autumn-winter collections — the richer colour depth and structured hand feel complement the season. Lighter yarn-dyed cottons in chambray, oxford and fine check constructions work naturally for spring-summer collections. Both seasonal directions are available from our range in development and bulk quantities.
